Chris Landon Joins Medical Alley Association Board of Directors
The Medical Alley Association is pleased to welcome Philips as its newest foundational member.

A member of the Medical Alley Association since 2018, Philips has significantly expanded its presence in the region over the past several years through the acquisition of local companies like RespirTech. The Netherlands based company is also a leader in the connected and virtual care space. In December 2020, Philips agreed to acquire BioTelemetry, a company specializing in remote cardiac diagnostics and monitoring, and in January 2021 it signed an agreement to acquire Capsule Technologies, Inc., a provider of medical device integration and data technologies.
Philips has also played an important role in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, with its comprehensive portfolio of products, services and solutions supporting the delivery of high-quality care to COVID-19 patients worldwide. These include secure, connected and intelligent approaches to diagnosis, treatment and predictive monitoring in the hospital, plus screening, remote patient monitoring and care at home.
Chris Landon, Philips Senior Vice President of Image-Guided Therapy Devices has also been elected to the Medical Alley Association Board of Directors, effective immediately. Landon has been with Philips since May 2019 and leads Philips’ global medical device business, which provides interventional diagnostic and therapeutic devices to treat coronary artery and peripheral vascular disease, including Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR) and instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR), atherectomy catheters, a dissection repair implant and drug-coated balloons.
“Chris has more than a decade of experience with medical devices at two major businesses within the region,” said James Rogers, Mayo Clinic’s Chief Business Development Officer and Chairman of the Board for the Medical Alley Association. “I have no doubt that he will be a valuable addition the association’s Board of Directors.”
