2020 started like any other year. We were focused on increasing the value of membership, telling the Medical Alley story, and growing the region’s influence and impact.
We were looking forward to our sold-out sixth Annual Dinner, presented by Bind Benefits, featuring Michael Phelps and Patrick Kennedy, as well as our full slate of in-person events that bring the leaders in our community together.
On March 13, 2020, the Medical Alley Association team left our office to begin the virtual work experience forced on us by the COVID-19 pandemic. Little did we know that we would finish 2020 without in-person contact with each other or our members.
We immediately focused on what was most important by putting the safety of our team and the support of our members first. As the enormity of the pandemic became clear, we sprang into action, launching Resource Connect, a tool designed to rapidly coordinate the response to PPE shortages, and we shifted our events schedule to virtual content delivery to connect members to resources, policymakers, and each other.
While 2020 has been a year of rapid adjustments and heartache for everyone, we have never been prouder to serve Minnesota’s Medical Alley and lead this extraordinary association. Here’s what we did together this year:
