Medical Alley – The Medical Alley Association will host its Virtual Medical Alley Day at the Minnesota Capitol on Thursday, March 4, 2021, bringing together healthcare leaders and state elected officials in Medical Alley.
“Although this year’s Medical Alley Day at the Capitol looks much different, we are excited to gather Medical Alley policymakers and stakeholders at the same virtual table,” said Medical Alley Association Interim President and CEO, Steffen Hovard.
“Our membership is a diverse collection of leaders across the entire healthcare spectrum. They drive innovation and improve the lives of patients around the globe,” Hovard said. “We are eager to gather with state legislative leaders to share our stories, concerns, and priorities. Important issues we hope to discuss include our commitment to talent attraction and retention, fostering an innovative ecosystem, healthcare transformation for lower costs, improved access and outcomes, and reduction of health disparities.”
The 2021 Virtual Medical Alley Day at the Capitol will begin at 9:00 a.m. with an opening reception featuring remarks from key members of Governor Walz’s administration followed by discussion with Medical Alley Association Board of Directors. Joining the reception will be Steve Grove, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, as well as Alice Roberts-Davis, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Administration.
Following the opening reception, Medical Alley Association members will meet with a broad coalition of state legislators from both chambers to raise awareness about the excellent work being done in Medical Alley as well as highlight policies that advance Medical Alley as The Global Epicenter of Health Innovation and CareTM.
