Medical Alley Companies Top Working Mother’s 2018 100 Best Companies List

March 8

For more than 30 years, Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies list has defined what it means to be a mom-friendly workplace. We were thrilled to see many Medical Alley companies receive this highly regarded recognition, demonstrating the community’s commitment to health and wellness even outside of a clinical setting.

Abbott, AbbVie, Baxter Healthcare, Boston Scientific, Deloitte, Eli Lilly and Company, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, and Takeda were all named to the list, having excelled at benefits like paid leave offerings, flexible work and telecommuting opportunities, fertility and education reimbursements, wellness programs, childcare resources, and more.

Further congratulations are in order for AbbVie, Deloitte, and Johnson & Johnson, which each earned a spot in the Top 10. AbbVie’s robust support for families who adopt, including reimbursement for adoption fees, legal counsel, and transportation, along with paid time off to spend with their newest family members secured the company’s top spot. Deloitte was lauded for having four months of paid family leave that could be used not only to take care of a new child, but also for caring for a sick spouse or aging parent. New mothers could get as many as six months of paid leave. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson’s readily available lactation rooms at facilities across the country, which allow new mothers to work quietly or listen to music, gave them the edge to be named a Top 10 Best Company. The company also offers to ship breast milk for free for any traveling mom, even globally.

This recognition is just another example of how Medical Alley companies are making this the global epicenter of health innovation and care for patients and employees alike!
