MEDICAL ALLEY, Dec. 14, 2022 – Roberta Dressen, president and CEO of the Medical Alley Association, has earned a board of directors position with the Rochester, Minn.-based Destination Medical Center Economic Development Agency (DMC EDA).
As the organization’s newest board member, Dressen will begins her 3-year term on Jan. 1, 2023. Dressen will bring decades of health care and wellness experience to the economic development agency to help achieve its goal of positioning Rochester as the world’s premier health and wellness destination.
“We are very fortunate to have Roberta on our team as her deep experience in the sector, and Medical Alley’s purpose of serving as the epicenter of health innovation and care, align perfectly with our needs,” said Patrick Seeb, executive director of the DMC EDA. “We have some very ambitious goals to capitalize on our position as the world-class leader in health care, and Roberta’s leadership will help us get there.”
With Mayo Clinic at its heart, Destination Medical Center (DMC) is a 20-year economic development initiative that also aims to create a hub for bio-and-medical technology innovators. DMC will steward $585 million in state and local public infrastructure funds to stimulate more than $5 billion in private investment from Mayo Clinic and other private sector organizations, creating more than 30,000 new jobs, generate over $7 billion in new net tax revenue, and transform Rochester into America’s City for Health.

Dressen was named president and CEO of Medical Alley in Sept., 2021. Prior to that, she held leadership roles across the full spectrum of health care including Allina Health Systems, UnitedHealth Group, Boston Scientific Corp., Medtronic and a partner at LFE Capital, a Wayzata-based private equity firm investing in women-led wellness companies.
