Olichney comes to Boulder iQ with more than 35 years of medical device engineering experience, primarily focused on new-product development. Boulder iQ provides design engineering, development and turnkey manufacturing for consumer, high-technology and medical products, and regulatory, clinical and quality management system services for the medical device and in-vitro diagnostic industries.
The engineering leader’s expertise includes mechanical and disposables design, materials selection, fluids modeling, sensitivity analysis and statistical methods. He is proficient in designing test, and verification and validation, programs, and is well-versed in FDA regulatory issues and programs. Olichney has served as inventor on more than 15 U.S. patents.
Before joining Boulder iQ, Olichney was principal engineer and owner of BOCS LLC (Castle Rock, Colorado), a contract and consulting services firm for medical product design and development. Other positions have included: principal engineer at ConMed Advanced Surgical, Team Medical, LLC, Battelle Medical Products/Larren Corporation and RELA Inc.; engineering specialist at Baxter Healthcare; and project engineer, mechanical engineer and project manager at Valleylab Inc. All of his work has been in the Denver-Boulder metro area.
Olichney holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Rice University.
