LGBTQ+ Resource “Path2FamilyEquality” Wins Digital Impact Award
MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 17, 2022) – Clockwork CEO Nancy Lyons and her team were recently honored at the Family Equality LA Impact Awards for creating a new virtual resource called Path2FamilyEquality to help LGBTQ+ parents, trans youth and families, and allies navigate the challenging political climate.
Clockwork developed the site in partnership with Family Equality in response to ongoing attacks against LGBTQ+ families—including more than 300 anti-LGBTQ+ state bills introduced in 2022, and the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, threatening additional fundamental freedoms.
Lyons accepted the award at a star-studded event called LA Impact: A Night Of Heroes at Paramount Studios on October 15. The event offers celebrities, supporters, and community luminaries, the opportunity to harness their collective powers in the fight for LGBTQ+ families.
“We’re proud to be a part of this incredible resource for families who are feeling abandoned by legislators, and need a repository of information and guidance,” Lyons said. Lyons has supported and worked with Family Equality for 13 years, currently serving on the Board and leading her team in the development of the site. “This effort goes way beyond the website – it’s about preserving and protecting everyone’s human rights.”
