The Bakken Museum to Unveil Renovation Plans at Bakken to the Future Event

The November 16 Bakken to the Future event will Showcase the Best of the Bakken Programs plus 2020 3D Renovation Renderings

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – On Saturday, November 16, 2019, The Bakken Museum will host Bakken to the Future, an event showcasing the best of the museum’s exhibits, education programs, and collections. Attendees will be among the first to receive detailed information about the museum’s upcoming renovation project and view architectural renderings using virtual reality technology.

“The 2020 renovation is about learning from our past, reimagining our education programs, and creating an improved space for the next generation of innovators,” said The Bakken Museum President & CEO Michael Sanders. “We have been hard at work planning and are thrilled to share more information about this exciting transformation.”

Along with renovation details, event attendees will enjoy experimental food tastings, live science-theatre performances, hands-on experiments, and workshops in the museum’s makerspace.

The Bakken to the Future Event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 16 at The Bakken Museum in Uptown Minneapolis (3537 Zenith Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55416). A VIP champagne reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. will precede the main event. Tickets are available to purchase online (https://bakkentothefuture.eventbrite.com/).
