Québec Government and Medical Alley Association Partner for Second Year of the U.S. Go-to-Market Accelerator

May 9

(Medical Alley, MN) — Following a successful first year, the Québec Government Delegation in Chicago, Investissement Québec International, and the Medical Alley Association will work with a cohort of 10 medtech and digital health companies to accelerate their U.S. market development.

Québec is a world-renowned innovation center with a fast-growing health-technology cluster. The region is determined to become one of the five major North American hubs in Life Sciences.

For the past ten years, Québec has spent more than any other Canadian province on research and development, in proportion to its GDP. It also receives more venture capital funding than any other Canadian province. This has accelerated the emergence of breakthrough companies like Repare Therapeutics, Imagia, CryoCath Technologies, and various innovative digital health companies.

“The first cohort of companies demonstrated the high level of innovation in Québec and the value of engaging with the Medical Alley ecosystem,” said Frank Jaskulke, MAA’s Vice President of Intelligence and head of Medical Alley Starts. “We are excited to build more relationships that advance healthcare and our regions.”

Medical Alley, The Global Epicenter of Health Innovation and Care®, is the top health technology cluster in the world. Home to global healthcare leaders like Mayo Clinic, UnitedHealth Group, and Medtronic, Medical Alley has the assets Québécois companies need to expand in the U.S. This includes developing U.S. strategies, identifying partners, and bringing lifesaving innovations to patients.

“Medical Alley is among the top healthcare hubs in the United States,” said Mario Limoges, Québec Government Delegate in Chicago. “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with Medical Alley for this second year. This is a great opportunity to build stronger collaboration between the U.S. and Québec to drive innovation and improved health.”

“Investissement Québec International oversees international trade within the Life Sciences sector and will work closely with Medical Alley and the Québec Government office in Chicago to build on this important collaboration and encourage trade between Québec, Minnesota, and Medical Alley’s associates around the world,” said Roch Paquette, Lead Council – Life Sciences, Investissement Québec International.

Recruitment for the Quebec US Market Access program are now open until May 30th. For more information please check: Medical Alley US Market Access Program. A Cohort of 10 innovative companies would be selected and will have the pleasure to gather in Montreal for the launch of the program on the 12th and 13th September. The program will conclude in Minneapolis (5th and 6th December) with series of networking and coaching sessions.
