MEDICAL ALLEY, Minn. (12/10/2024) — Medical Alley® announced today that Sanford Health President & CEO Bill Gassen has been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2025.

Bill Gassen is president and CEO of Sanford Health, a $7.6 billion integrated health system serving communities across the upper Midwest. In 2022, Gassen announced that Sanford Health’s strategic position and aspirational goal is to be the premier rural health system in the United States, with a commitment to ensuring the quality of care a person receives is not limited by his or her ZIP code.
Gassen was recognized by Modern Healthcare in 2022, 2023 and 2024 as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare. He serves on the Executive Committee of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors for Oscar Health and was recently appointed Chair of the Coalition to Strengthen America’s Healthcare.
