Traveling with a baby grand piano, Benjamin Zander will headline the Medical Alley 2024 Summit.

Zander's presentation takes the audience on a journey that offers a startling new perspective on leadership. Through stories, music and concepts, it causes a radical shift in perception. This is not a speech, it is an experience!

In this new model of leadership, the conductor sees his job as awakening possibility in others. World famous conductor, Benjamin Zander uses the metaphor of the orchestra and a lifetime of experience conducting, coaching and teaching musicians to work his magic to overcome barriers to corporate productivity, which sources fundamental changes in organizations.

Dr. Ana Núñez, Vice Dean, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, University of Minnesota

Ana Núñez, MD, FACP is a Professor of General Internal Medicine and Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Minnesota. She is the Equity Officer for the CTSI, the Director of the CTSI DEI Catalytic Collaboratory,  Director of the Early Career Scholars program and co-Director of the CTSI PreP/APreP program. She also serves nationally as an executive board member of the NCATS CTSI DEIA Enterprise committee. She received her Doctorate in Medicine from Hahnemann University and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wilkes University. She has fellowships in medical education from Michigan State University,  health services research from the Association of American Medical Colleges (Commonwealth/AAMC) and fellow of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program. 

She is nationally recognized as a medical education and health services researcher, having developed novel curricula in the areas of sex and gender medicine, primary care, trauma/violence prevention and cultural competence.She has served as a grant reviewer for a number of entities including NSF, HHMI and Uniformed Health Services. She was honored as a 2022 Most Influential Healthcare Executive by Fierce Healthcare. She is the Chair of the Group on Diversity and Inclusion at the Association of American Medical Colleges and founding editor of the journal, Health Equity.

2023 Summit Recap 

The 2023 Summit focused on the workplace, with insightful conversations throughout the day that helped us reimagine tomorrow's workplace today. Keynote speaker Suneel Gupta shared how to avoid burnout, Richard Leider talked about finding purpose as a leader, a panel discussion focused on the employer/employee experience post-pandemic, and Dr. Nneka Sederstrom and Dr. Talee Vang of Hennepin Healthcare led a workshop focused on health equity.
