Medical Alley is The Global Epicenter of Health Innovation and Care™ leading the way on therapeutics and treatments for
COVID-19, as well as delivering on new models of care and public health strategies.
On March 22, 2020, the Medical Alley Association launched COVID-19 Resource Connect, a tool designed to help match the resources of Minnesota’s health technology and care organizations with the needs of the community. The tool allowed those lacking personal protective equipment and other supplies necessary to combat COVID-19 to submit a “Needs Request” and those with resources available and capabilities to produce needed supplies and equipment to submit a “Can Provide Resources” notice.
The outpouring of support from the Medical Alley community was incredible! Within a week of the tool’s launch, we received hundreds of offers of assistance from companies with resources.
The Medical Alley team reviewed every submission and connected those in need with those offering to help. By the end of May, Resource Connect received 7,000+ visits and over 500 submissions, with nearly 450 offers of resources and 75 requests for resources. Our team continues to work closely with the state to send qualified leads that could help Minnesota prepare for a COVID-19 peak.
Resource Connect gave the community what it needed most: the ability to identify critical needs, identify sources that could assist, and bring them together. If you need assistance with COVID-19 resources, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or 952-542-3077. The Medical Alley Association looks forward to continuing to help connect critical resources to those in need.
