MINNEAPOLIS, April 11, 2022. — Miracle-Ear and the Miracle-Ear Foundation announced today it will provide free hearing tests, along with complimentary hearing aids and a lifetime of follow-up services for eligible Ukrainian refugees arriving in the U.S.
According to recent news reports, up to 100,000 Ukraine refugees are expected to arrive in the U.S. in the upcoming months.
Ukrainian refugees will be able to go to any of the 1,500 Miracle-Ear stores located in all 50 states to receive a free hearing screening and apply for the Gift of Sound hearing aid program. Then, a Miracle-Ear Hearing Care Specialist will work with them to be fitted for their new hearing aids, as well as a lifetime of free follow-up care.
“Many of the refugees may have lost their own hearing devices or experienced sudden hearing loss during the war and the Miracle-Ear Foundation, along with our Miracle-Ear stores, are here to provide the Gift of Sound,” said Jenni Hargraves, vice president of the Miracle-Ear Foundation. “The Miracle-Ear Foundation is committed to helping all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay, to live and hear more fully.”
Since its founding in 1990, the Miracle-Ear Foundation has donated more than 34,000 hearing aids to more than 18,000 children and adults around the country who could otherwise not afford them. Amplifon, Miracle-Ear’s parent company, also donated $1 million euros to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support the people constrained by the contingency of the current emergency in Ukraine.
