Halma Group Chief Executive Andrew Williams Recognized for Championing Inclusion and Women in Business

September 9

Halma is pleased to announce that Andrew Williams has been listed in the 2021 HERoes Advocate Executives Role Model top 20 list. This is the second year Andrew has been recognized for his commitment towards increasing gender diversity at Halma.

The HERoes Women Role Model List recognises the top 50 global business leaders who are driving change for gender diversity in the workplace and inspiring the next generation of diverse talent. The list is run by INvolve, a global network championing diversity and inclusion in business.

Since 2014, Andrew and his Executive team have been on a path towards improving diversity and gender balance across the organisation. Halma has made significant progress on gender representation at the board and senior leadership level, with more than 50% of these senior roles held by women today. Halma’s plc Board and Executive Boards are 44% and 78% women, respectively, and in July 2021 Dame Louise Makin became Halma’s next Chair. Women also make up 25% of Divisional Chief Executives roles, who run our portfolio of companies, and lead our acquisitions.

Andrew has been an active member of the 30% Club since 2017, a membership organisation which campaigns for at least 30% of board seats to be held by women.

In 2021 Halma was recognised by the European Women on Boards as gender diversity leaders, coming 8th out of 668 companies.

Andrew Williams, Halma Group Chief Executive, commented:

“Diversity, equity and inclusion is a competitive advantage for Halma and is crucial to helping us live our purpose. We want to be a company where women, and people from all backgrounds, feel that they can belong and where they can flourish.  I look forward to continuing to champion this effort across our businesses, as all our Halma colleagues are required to play their part.”
