Rusty Field is trying to look on the bright side of things, even when a global pandemic has completely altered day-to-day life. The CEO and president of Upsher-Smith Laboratories is embracing family togetherness.
“Family time has really been a blessing,” Field said.
The 52-year-old, married father of three has always been good at finding ways to work out when traveling for business, but now that travel has come to an abrupt stop and Field is working from home, he has opened up to the opportunities surrounding him. That means virtual spin classes, family walks and even the occasional online dance class.
“My daughters found this YouTube channel,” Field explained. “I’m not exactly a dancer, but they get a kick out of it.”
Field is a fan of muscle-confusion exercise programs like Tabada and CrossFit Murph that continually challenge the body, so having to change how he exercises is not out of the ordinary. Field has spent the past decade doing high-intensity interval training three to four times a week at the gym with a core group of guys.
