March 25, 2019 – Miromatrix won the Buzz of BIO competition (Pipelines of Promise category) associated with the BIO International Convention held June 3-6 in Philadelphia. The convention attracts 16,000+ biotechnology and pharma leaders who come together for one week of intensive networking to discover new opportunities and promising partnerships.
Buzz of BIO is a contest that recognizes U.S. based companies with groundbreaking, early stage technologies with the potential for improving lives. Companies submitted in one of two categories (Technologies of Tomorrow or Pipelines of Promise), and voting by BIO enthusiasts determined the winner in each category.
Winning the Buzz of BIO title gives Miromatrix a complimentary company presentation to BIO attendees along with convention access + partnering registration at the BIO International Convention. ($4,000+ value!).
Not only does this award provide Miromatrix with widespread recognition, it also signifies the importance of our mission, technology, the progress we have made and our ability to save the lives of thousands of patients.
Thank you to all of the Miromatrix fans that voted for us and helped us win this honor!
Miromatrix Medical Inc. was created from the idea of living in a world without an organ transplant waiting list. With an average of 22 people dying each day waiting for a transplant, the need for a solution is dire.
Founded in 2009 from the University of Minnesota’s breakthrough advances in perfusion decellularization and recellularization, we continue to be the world leader in bringing the promise of fully biologic organs to the people who need them.
Driven by the promise of our exclusive technologies we have raised the bar of regenerative medicine by introducing the next generation of extracellular matrix based medical devices in soft tissue reinforcement and advanced wound care. As we make progress towards whole-organ solutions our development pipeline includes many organ-derived medical devices to meet healthcare needs.
Nature holds the key to the future of regenerative medicine and we are excited to continue to harness its potential to improve and save lives!
