Q. How can my organization join LifeScience Alley?
Just fill out a membership application form online and pay via credit card, or print, fill-out, and mail in an application with a company check.

Q. How do I know if my company is already a member?
Please check the Member List.

If your company is a member, you can begin to enjoy the benefits of LifeScience Alley. You may want to get involved in one of the Shared Interest Groups (SIGs). Or, you could sign up to attend one of our networking events called Alley Chats.

Q. What types of life science organizations does LifeScience Alley represent?
Industries represented include medical technology and equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical and bioscience companies, hospitals and clinics, health plans and insurers, education and research organizations, and a broad range of health care service and consulting companies. Q. What are LifeScience Alley's membership dues?
Memberships are based on an organization's revenues. Once an organization joins, every employee is considered a member and can participate in LifeScience Alley programs. The membership dues are as follows:

Students (Benefits / Application) $60
Provisional (For life science start-up businesses ONLY*, in operation less than 3 years) $350
Revenue to $3 million $700
Revenue $3 to $10 million $1,400
Revenue $10 to $50 million $3,200
Revenue $50 to $100 million $6,400
Revenue in excess of $100 million $12,700

Q. Does a life sciences company/organization need to be a specific size or have a certain amount of revenue to join?
No. Any size organization can join. Membership fees are based on the annual revenue a company or organization generates. View Membership Benefits for more information.

Q. Can I join LifeScience Alley if I don't belong to a life sciences organization?
Yes. LifeScience Alley supports the broad range of organizations working in life sciences. All members are treated the same — there are no "allied" or "vendor" categories. If you are a sole proprietor, you also can join at the same rates. Join LifeScience Alley today.

Q. I work for a non-profit organization or government unit. Does LifeScience Alley offer a special membership rate?
No. Our membership rates are based on the revenue of each organization. This model may not be as applicable for non-profits, academic institutions, or government groups, but we can help you determine the correct dues category, so please contact us. View Membership Application for more information.

Q. What geographic area does LifeScience Alley cover?
We are regional with a majority of companies based in Minnesota. Our region also covers Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois and parts of Canada.

Yes. Organizations around the world join to take advantage of the terrific one-on-one opportunities to meet leaders who may have national and worldwide influence in the life sciences. Q. Why do companies outside Minnesota join LifeScience Alley?

Q. What types of activities are offered through LifeScience Alley and how can I participate in them?
LifeScience Alley provides a number of opportunities for our members to get involved. We offer many educational programs, networking events and special projects throughout the year.

Q. Can I attend LifeScience Alley programs and events if my company is not a member?
Yes. Except For Alley Chats events, which are members-only networking opportunities, you do not have to be a member to attend our programs and events. The registration fees, however, are significantly higher for non-members. That is one reason we encourage companies to join today. To access membership information, view Membership Benefits.

Q. How can I obtain a directory of LifeScience Alley members?
For over 20 years, the LifeScience Alley Directory has been the most complete source for information about Minnesota's life sciences organizations. All LifeScience Alley member organizations are listed in the directory and receive both the book and the online version free as a benefit of membership. Q. Are there other LifeScience Alley chapters elsewhere?
No, but we work closely with other associations and groups in the surrounding states and Canada providing access to a broad network.

A few examples to find market and life sciences industry information in LifeScience Alley's region are the James J. Hill Reference Library, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the State of Minnesota (Northstar) and the University of Minnesota Medical School
